Viognier 2024 - Los Chacayes

Viognier is not an easy grape, but in Los Chacayes it found its place. At just over a thousand meters above sea level, on the stony soils of the Uco Valley, this thick-skinned, intensely aromatic variety ripens slowly, unhurriedly, drawing from the earth that minerality that is later evident in the glass.

It rests for 12 months in French and American oak barrels, which add texture and complexity without covering the floral character so typical of this grape. In the glass, it presents a pale gold color, and when you bring it to your nose, notes of peach, white flowers, and a touch of honey appear, which is a trademark of well-made Viognier.

On the palate, it is unctuous, with good volume, and a balanced acidity that prevents it from feeling heavy. It has a long, aromatic finish that lingers. A different white wine, for those who are tired of always drinking the same thing and want to discover something with more personality.
