Chenin 2023

There are grapes that were forgotten along the way, and Chenin Blanc is one of them. In Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, a group of friends who met playing rugby decided to revive it, seeking a more French, more authentic profile, far from what is easy.

The soil of Agrelo, deep and well-drained, gives this varietal the volume it needs to not remain a simple white. It is harvested by hand, with traditional fermentation and temperature control to not lose an ounce of that freshness so characteristic of Chenin. Afterwards, it spends time on lees, gaining body and complexity without losing its way.

In the glass, it appears greenish-yellow with golden reflections, and on the nose, white flowers, jasmine, apple, and pear unfold with a slight mature touch. It rests in used French oak barrels, just enough to round it out. On the palate, it is voluptuous, biting, with its own character. A distinctive white, made with the same mind, heart, and perseverance with which these former players approached each match.
