Malbec Cot

El Cot is the same Malbec as always, but told differently. In Los Chacayes, Uco Valley, on stony soils originating from an ancient riverbed, these grapes are harvested for winemaking using carbonic maceration—a technique that highly respects the fruit, without forcing anything.

The stones beneath the soil force the roots to dig deep, giving the wine that particular tension, more vertical than broad, fresher than heavy. In the glass, it appears intense violet, and on the nose, fresh red fruits explode, with floral notes and a spicy touch, with no wood to mask the fruit.

It is aged patiently, without rushing anything, letting the fruit speak for itself. On the palate, it is smooth, juicy, with delicate tannins and a lively acidity that refreshes the palate. A different Malbec, for those who have already tried the classic and want to experience another side of the same familiar grape.
