"The Pinot from the area keeps getting better and better," says Carlos Mabellini, and he's not exaggerating. On the family farm in Confluencia, Neuquén, where there used to be pear and apple trees, a Pinot Noir now grows that surprises year after year.

This is a true boutique winery: no purchased grapes, no blending with third parties, everything is born and harvested in its own vineyards, by hand, in small 14-kilo trays. Pinot Noir is also a delicate and naturally low-yielding variety, which means each harvest yields only a handful of bottles – a limited production by definition, not by commercial strategy.

The Patagonian thermal amplitude – mild days, very cold nights – is exactly what this delicate grape needs to develop aroma without losing acidity. The constant wind of the region, far from being a problem, keeps the plants healthy and naturally concentrates the fruit.

It spends time in French oak barrels that add subtle complexity, without masking the typical delicacy of Pinot. In the glass, it shows a clear ruby color, with aromas of fresh red fruits and a spicy touch. On the palate, it is silky, light, with almost imperceptible tannins. A short-run Pinot Noir with a unique character, growing where no one expected it.
